Non-Surgical Rejuvenation

Fractora

Fractora is a gentle skin rejuvenation treatment that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy, a type of mild thermal energy, through microneedles that penetrate the second layer of skin. The extremely fine and short microneedles stimulate the production of fibroblast cells that create more collagen and elastin proteins- increasing skin rigidity and youthful elasticity. These needles have been proven to mechanically break down scar tissue and support better quality vascularization, promoting healthier skin regeneration in the area. (1) The radiofrequency energy, on the other hand, contracts collagen fibers to facilitate a mild skin-tightening effect.

After your treatment with Fractora, you can expect minor swelling and redness that will disappear within 2 days. Fractora is most often recommended for the treatment of mild acne, fine lines and wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation concerns from sun damage.

HydraFacial®

HydraFacial® involves a series of steps that include exfoliation, pore cleansing, and serum administration to the skin. Your skin care specialist will prescribe a custom serum that specifically addresses your cosmetic concerns- whether it be oily skin, dry skin, large pores, or hyperpigmentation, there is a designated serum for your needs. They will educate you on the 11 available skin boosters and how each ingredient works to benefit your skin’s health. They will finish the entirety of the procedure in just 30 minutes, and you can enjoy revitalized skin without the irritation or drying effects caused by harsher facial peels. Consecutive treatments have shown to be an effective way to treat active acne. (2) HydraFacial is typically recommended for those with open comedones (blackheads), enlarged pores, and oily type skin, but it can be tailored to suit any skin type or tone. Results will leave your skin glowing, smoother, and softer to the touch.

Emsculpt Neo

Emsculpt Neo is a revolutionary non-invasive body sculpting device. Patients simply lie down and place the device over their abdomen as it administers high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM). This vibrational energy builds abdominal muscle mass while burning fat, leading to a more toned, well-defined midsection in just a 30-minute session. There is no anesthesia or pain associated with the treatment, though, many patients describe tickling sensations. Emsculpt Neo was FDA-cleared in 2020, making it one of the latest advancements in body contouring.

Microdermabrasion

In a microdermabrasion procedure, your skin care specialist will apply a diamond-tipped device to your skin to deeply exfoliate and suction away skin debris. In just a 30-minute session, you can gain clearer skin that reduces the appearance of acne, scars, uneven skin tone, stretch marks, sun damage, melasma, seborrheic skin, large pores, and fine lines. (3)  Though your skin may look more flushed or pink, it should completely resolve within 24 hours. Since skin cell turnover is about 1 month, you should expect your results to last about this amount of time.

CoolPeel

CoolPeel CO2 laser emits concentrated wavelengths of light to invoke an increased production of fibroblast cells by heating up the water molecules within the skin. However, it does not penetrate as deeply into the skin as a standard CO2 laser, so there is very little downtime involved. Most patients only experience about 2 days of redness and/or irritation, while other lasers can cause peeling and more severe side effects that take 1 to 2 weeks to resolve. In just 15 minutes or less, you can expect less pronounced fine lines, acne scars, pores, age spots, and more.

Preparation

Prepping your skin for a thorough treatment can mitigate your risk of negative side effects, boost healing times, and optimize any serums or medications used during the treatment or recovery:

  • Before your Fractora treatment, you should avoid sun exposure, refrain from topical retinoids, practice daily moisturizing twice a day, and avoid taking anticoagulant medications. These medications can increase your risk of bleeding during the treatment or bruising in the days following.
  • Before your HydraFacial®, you should avoid exfoliating your skin, topical retinoids, or sun exposure. The procedure is not suitable for people with severe acne, and those taking Accutane should stop taking the medication and wait at least 6 months before considering HydraFacial®.
  • Emsculpt Neo is extremely safe for most patients, and it doesn’t require any preparation. However, those with a pacemaker or copper IUD should completely avoid Emsculpt since it may heat up these devices. This procedure is also not recommended for pregnant patients, and people with a history of heart issues or seizures since it can interfere with the electromagnetic field around you.
  • Prior to your microdermabrasion appointment, you should avoid sun exposure, sun tanners, waxing or exfoliating the treatment area, and topical retinoids. Those with rosacea may benefit from another treatment since it can aggravate the condition more.

Aftercare and Results

  • After your Fractora treatment, you may notice some irritation, mild scabbing and peeling, and redness for a couple of days. For the first 4 weeks after treatment, you should avoid exposing the treatment area to the sun or use sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Over the next 4 to 6 months, you will have increased collagen production.
  • After HydraFacial®, you may have blotchy, red skin for 2 days. In order to prevent skin peeling, be sure to use a dermatologist-approved moisturizer daily and avoid topical retinoids and skin exfoliants. After just one session, you will notice improvements for at least 1 week, and more comprehensive, long-lasting solutions can be achieved with monthly touch-ups.
  • Patients who undergo Emsculpt Neo will see their results settle in within a few days and can enjoy their newly toned abdomen for around 6 months. You can retain longer-lasting results by exercising regularly.
  • After microdermabrasion, you can expect your skin to feel a bit drier and tighter, and some patients experience redness. It’s important to utilize a gentle cleanser and a hydrating moisturizer. In the first 24 hours after treatment, you should avoid sweating or showering. For the first 7 days, you should avoid topical retinoids, salicylic acid, and products with benzoyl peroxide to prevent further irritation. For the month following, you should take extra care to apply sunscreen or avoid sun exposure. Your results will last about 1 month since it takes approximately this amount of time for your skin to fully regenerate.
