- Cheeks

What Can I Do About My Rosacea?
Unfortunately, there is no cure for rosacea. However, it is a highly manageable skin condition! There are a variety of medications or laser treatments available that can help reduce the appearance of the redness associated with this condition.
There are a few proactive steps you can personally take to reduce the effects of this condition. It is always important to protect your skin from the sun, and selecting gentle cleansers for your skincare routine can help.
Rosacea is not necessarily always present, but it occurs in flare-ups. Each person experiences flare-ups differently, and monitoring your personal triggers can help you manage this condition! Keeping a food diary can help determine what your dietary triggers may be. Common triggers for this skin condition include:
- Alcohol
- Caffeine
- Spicy foods
It is important to remember the results from treatment will vary for each person and method. Again, this is not a curable condition, but it can be manageable.

Are There Different Types?
Each person who lives with rosacea experiences the skin condition differently. There are four subtypes of this chronic skin disease.
- Erythematotelangiectatic – flushing, redness, visible blood vessels
- Ocular – irritation and redness around the eyes, swollen eyelids
- Papulopustular – acne-like breakouts, redness, swelling
- Phymatous – thick skin with a bumpy texture
Regardless of the subtype of rosacea, there are options available to help you manage your condition and symptoms. A consultation with our team at our offices in New York or Florida can help you understand your condition and determine the best treatment method for you.

MORPHEUS8
As we age, we lose collagen in our skin resulting in volume loss and wrinkles. Collagen acts as a scaffold, providing strength and structure to the skin on our face and body. With age, collagen production slows and the cell structures weaken. The skin gets thinner and is easier to damage as our body produces less and lower quality collagen.
