Endoscopic Browlift

Do you want to look your youngest and your absolute best? If so, there are plenty of ways that this can be achieved. One of the most popular options to consider for advanced anti-aging and wrinkle reduction to is to meet with a plastic surgeon to discuss facial plastic surgery.

There is one particular surgery that can really work wonders for deep lines and wrinkles on the forehead. This surgery is called the browlift, which we’d like to look at right now. In particular, we want to focus on the endoscopic browlift, a form of this surgery that is much less invasive than other kinds of browlift surgery.

Why Forehead Lines and Wrinkles Are a Problem

When you have deep lines and wrinkles on the forehead, your appearance an be adversely affected. Sure, a few lines may add a sense of distinction and experience, but many lines can be a real drag on your overall look. Sometimes these brow lines can make you look tired, worried, or surprised even when that is not the case.

The only way to reduce the appearance of these brow lines with absolute certainty is to undergo a browlift surgery.

What is an endoscopic browlift?

Also known as a forehead lift, a browlift is a surgery that is designed to tighten the skin of the forehead, eliminating wrinkles and restoring a sense of youthfulness and energy. This is not to be confused with a traditional facelift, which targets the middle portion of the face.

Advantages Over Traditional Browlift Surgery

The endoscopic browlift uses fewer and/or smaller incisions than the traditional browlift surgeries of the past. This makes the surgery must less invasive, and also makes post-surgical scarring much harder to spot. And since the surgery is less invasive, patients tend to heal faster and with fewer issues regarding discomfort and bruising than with traditional browlift surgery.

Ideal Candidates for Endoscopic Browlift

The best candidates for endoscopic browlift are patients suffering from brow wrinkles and lines who are in otherwise good health to tolerate surgery. They should have realistic expectations about the surgery and what it can achieve and understand all of the risks and benefits involved.

The Endoscopic Browlift Procedure

During the endoscopic browlift, small incisions are made along the hairline near the temples and at the top, frontal part of the hairline. Through these incisions, a small camera called an endoscope is used, allowing the surgeon to see the structures of the forehead.

Working through these small incisions, underlying tissues are adjusted and excess skin removed. Once adjustments are completed, the skin of the forehead is pulled tighter and sutured in place for a better appearance.

Other Options for Facial Rejuvenation and Wrinkle Reduction

It is not out of the ordinary for the browlift to be performed in combination with other procedures in order to achieve optimal facial rejuvenation results. Total makeovers such as these can be discussed in more detail during your consultation.
