How Is Renuvion® Performed?
Your Renuvion® Consultation
You will need to schedule a consultation with one of our knowledgeable aesthetic providers to determine if Renuvion® is right for you. They will listen to your concerns as you discuss your goals for the procedure, including the desired treatment locations. They will recommend the appropriate number of treatments and provide you with a cost estimate.
What to Expect During Your Renuvion® Treatment
Renuvion® can be performed alone or at the same time as liposuction. If performed during liposuction, you will likely be given general anesthesia for your comfort and to accommodate the length of the surgery time. If you opt to have Renuvion® alone, you may be given local anesthesia at the treatment site. Once numb, surgery will begin.
Your provider will make very small incisions around the treatment area in order to fit the slim Renuvion® probe. The probe is then inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin, where it releases helium plasma to heat the tissue for contraction while also cooling the area to limit damage. The RF heat also triggers collagen production, which builds up in the body over time. Your small incisions will be neatly closed with sutures.
After the treatment, you will be given a special compression garment that helps the skin contract and reduces swelling for more effective healing.

Renuvion® Recovery & Aftercare
Recovery after Renuvion® is generally quick, requiring only a few days of downtime. You will be given specific recovery instructions which you must follow to the best of your ability, especially when combining the treatment with liposuction. While each patient is different, your instructions may recommend the following:
- Wear your compression garment day and night, as directed by your surgeon
- Resume daily activities with caution and do not overexert yourself
- You may resume more strenuous activities after about two to three weeks
- Bruising and swelling are normal and should improve over the first few weeks
What Results Can I Expect From Renuvion®?
Patients can see immediate improvement in loose skin as the treatment prompts skin contraction, with continued improvement as collagen production increases. Most patients can see full skin tightening results after about six to nine months following treatment.
