Q. How should I sleep?
A.You should sleep with the head of the bed elevated and knees bent at all times for one week.

Q. Is it normal to be walking bent over?
A.You should walk bent over to avoid putting stress on you abdominal sutures.

Q. When do the stitches get removed?
A.The stitches are all absorbable.

Q. When can I shower?
A.You will be able to shower 48 hours after the procedure.

Q. How long i have to wear the binder.
A.You have to wear the binder for fours weeks after surgery.

Q. How long do I have the drains in?
A.The drains are in for about one week.

Q. How often do I have to empty the drains?
A.You should empty the drains every 12 hours, and you need to record the amount of drainage from each drain.

Q. When can I work out again
A.You may work out four weeks from your surgery date.

Q. Do I have to finish all of the medications?
A.You must finish all the antibotics and take all other medications as needed.
