What is Perlane?

Perlane is a non-surgical, FDA approved treatment which can help smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Perlane treatment is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that's already in the human body, so there are no animal products included. Hyaluronic acid is essential for the skin's moisture and tone, however, over time, the body reduces the amount of it produces. Perlane filler simply restores what the body is no longer supplying enough of, in order for your skin to look years younger. Perlane is very popular for lip augmentation to help lips look fuller and sexier.

Since hyaluronic acid is a natural substance, Perlane can be administered to every skin type and color. Dr. Greenberg has been specially trained in the administering of Perlane injections.

Your Perlane Treatment Consultation…

Before undergoing your Perlane treatment for facial wrinkles and folds, or lip augmentation, you will have a consultation with Dr. Greenberg. During the initial consultation, Dr. Greenberg will ask you some questions about your medical history as well as answer any questions or concerns you may have about the Perlane procedure. This will help to determine if you are a candidate for Perlane injections.

The Perlane Procedure…

The Perlane filler treatment is a quick and easy process. Dr. Greenberg will make tiny injections in strategic areas on your face or lips and use the Perlane gel to fill in those areas. This will smooth away facial wrinkles and folds and add volume to your lips. The entire process takes about 30 minutes.

Perlane Recovery…

Perlane treatment, you can return to your regular activities with minimal limitations, if any. You may experience some slight swelling or mild bruising afterward if the procedure was lip augmentation. Some patients have found that taking Vitamin C orally for a few days before the procedure helps to minimize the bruising and speeds along the healing process. Any bruising that may arise will disappear within a few days. The results of your Perlane injections will last for approximately 6 months to a year, although results may vary.
